The American University in Bulgaria (AUBG) offers 32 full scholarships for candidates from countries in transition in Eastern Europe and Central Asia (Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Russia, Serbia, Kosovo, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan).

AUBG provides first-rate American education in Europe-offering the best of both worlds. A globally recognized dual diploma, instruction in English, international faculty, students from more than 40 countries, and academic excellence are AUBG's top strengths. AUBG provides a wide range of academic programs in economics, business, computer science, mathematics, social sciences and humanities. The majors are complemented by 18 academic fields, which can be taken as minors. In the spirit of liberal arts education, AUBG offers also a unique self-designed major.

The application deadline is March 1, 2016.

Every eligible applicant is automatically reviewed for any scholarship. Scholarships based on academic merit are awarded based on the strength of the applicant’s high school performance and English language proficiency test scores.

Only applicants who have submitted complete Applications for Financial Assistance are eligible to receive any scholarship awarded (in full or in part) on the basis of financial need.  The Application for Financial Assistance is available on the How To Apply page
