GOOD NEWS ALERT: Oxford University just announced a scholarship program for Ukrainian refugees

The deadline for applications to the Graduate Scholarship Scheme for Ukraine Refugees will be 12:00 midday UK time on Monday 20 June 2022.

The Graduate Scholarship Scheme for Ukraine Refugees offers full financial support to pursue graduate study at Oxford for those who have been displaced within or outside Ukraine.

Thanks to the generous support of the University and its colleges, as well as donors and funding partners, up to 20 graduate scholarships for one-year full-time postgraduate courses (master’s) will be awarded for the 2022-23 academic year. The scholarships are open to candidates who meet the eligibility criteria below and have been selected for a place on one of the eligible master’s courses (see the Eligibility section of this page for further details). Courses are available in a broad range of academic subjects.

Each scholarship will cover your course fees in full and will provide you with £7,500 to cover your living expenses for the duration of your course. Free accommodation and meals, when the college kitchens are open, will be provided by the participating colleges.

Eligibility

Up to 20 scholarships are available for applicants who are ordinarily resident in Ukraine and who have been displaced within or outside Ukraine. These scholarships are open to those meeting the eligibility criteria and who will have been selected for a place on an eligible full-time one-year master’s degree at the University of Oxford to start in September or October 2022.

If you have already received a funding offer from the University, you will not be eligible for this scheme.

The awards are only tenable at specific colleges and, if applicable, successful applicants will be transferred to the relevant college in order to take up the scholarship.

New applicants

Application process

If you do not currently hold an offer of a place but wish to apply for this Graduate Scholarship Scheme you should submit a complete graduate application using the 'Apply' button below by 12:00 midday UK time on Monday 20 June 2022. You may submit one application with a choice of up to two courses. You will not be charged an application fee.

You will also need to upload a separate Scholarship Eligibility Form with your application (please see the instructions below), where you must indicate which eligible full-time master's course you are applying to.

You may apply for any of the listed full-time one-year master's course shown in the Eligibility section of this page using the 'Apply' button below, even if the course page indicates that it is now closed to applications in the current cycle. Please ensure that you:

  • identify an eligible full-time master's course from the list on the Eligibility section (if you wish you will be able to specify a second course which should preferably be in a related subject area)
  • check the information on the relevant course page from the courses section of this website;
  • pay close attention to the How to apply tab on the relevant course page and the supporting documents required;
  • use the 'Apply' button below – do not use any 'Apply' button or links to the application form on the course page(s);
  • indicate the correct, full-time course name in the Scholarship Eligibility Form, for example "MSc in Advanced Computer Science";
  • save a PDF copy of your completed Scholarship Eligibility Form and upload this as a transcript, under the Supporting documents tab in your online graduate application; and
  • upload your CV and transcript (these are required for all courses) as well as any other supporting documents required for your course (eg written work). If your chosen course does not require any written work, please upload a blank PDF file in the relevant upload slot(s).

Please note that it is not possible to indicate a college preference and college places will be allocated as part of the scholarship award process.
