International Summer School 2014 in Ireland

Description

Bridge Education Abroad Institute will be holding its second program in Ireland August 6th-16th, 2014 on the campuses of University College Dublin and University College Cork. Students from around the world who are interested in learning about conflict resolution, leadership training and diplomacy should apply.

The Irish summer program is a premiere ten day summer institute for ambitious students and young professionals. We strive to challenge our students through a vigorous “real life” experience that features lecturers from some of the most prestigious universities in the word. Participants can look forward to team projects, simulations, press conferences and cultural excursions.

Outside of lectures students will have the opportunity to socialize with students from over 20 different countries, building your global network. It’s all about who you know. Our participants will also hear from guest speakers that will supplement concepts and knowledge that can be applied to real life situations. We prepare you to get ahead.

Eligibility

  1. Any student or young professional in the world (Students from all disciplines are welcome)
  2. Applicants must be over the age of 18 or entering a higher education institution
  3. Applicants must be enrolled in higher education or recently finished (within 3 years)

Costs

Program fee ( €1450 ) covers the following:

  1. Tuition - Tuition pays for our prestigious professors to lecture to you!
  2. Meals - All scheduled breakfasts, lunches and dinners are included in the program fee.
  3. Accommodation - The program fee covers your lodging during the length of the program
  4. Cultural Excursions - All scheduled excursions are included in the program fee


Scholarships are awarded based on 4 factors:

  1. How early an application is submitted
  2. Actual need for a scholarship
  3. Merit and existing leadership experience
  4. Previous scholarships awarded

*Self-financed participants will pay total program fee of $2,000 USD

Application

  1. Priority Deadline: April 5th, 2014 – Scholarships will be given priority to applications received before this deadline. Please note: Scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis
  2. Visa Deadline: May 15th,2014. This deadline applies if you are a citizen of a country that requires a visa to enter Ireland.
