Call for Applications: USG Alumni Reunion 2020 Speakers

Are you a leader, innovator, STEM specialist, design-thinker, or entrepreneur who wants to share your story of shaping the future with the USG Alumni community? We are looking for speakers who are ready to inspire and motivate USG Alumni to build new relationships and partnerships in innovation and drive ideas forward to create change in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Each year, the U.S. Embassy in Bishkek sponsors the annual USG Alumni Reunion, bringing together hundreds of alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs build on their exchange experiences, develop new networks and generate new and innovative ideas to create lasting change in their communities.

This year’s event will highlight the achievements and successes of selected individuals in innovation, science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and entrepreneurship, which have generated unique problem-solving approaches to make a positive difference in local communities in the Kyrgyz Republic. The event is scheduled for Friday, May 8 at 17:00.


In order to participate as a speaker, you must:
• Have demonstrated professional or personal experience in the field of innovation, STEM or entrepreneurship;
• Be available to attend speaker training and development sessions in April;
• Be prepared to deliver a TED Talk style speech (5-7 minutes) to an audience of 150+ people;
• Demonstrate commitment to the USG Alumni community.
