Each summer in July and August, Rational Games accepts proposals for its annual grant cycle. Our Small Grant program provides financial assistance to nonprofit organizations that have demonstrated innovative approaches to conflict resolution, negotiation and mediation through the use of games and play

To be considered for funding under the Rational Games Small Grant program, proposed projects must meet the following requirements:

  1. Organizations must submit a proposal and budget in the provided format before the due date. See attached.
  2. Organizations submitting project proposals must demonstrate a commitment to utilizing conflict resolution, negotiation gaming or mediation techniques in their programming.
  3. They must also demonstrate a good fit with the RGI Vision, Mission and Values.

2013 Request for Proposals

The Rational Games Small Grant program provides targeted financial assistance to qualified organizations that make innovative use of games and play in the service of conflict resolution, negotiation or mediation.

 

Grant Eligibility and Proposal Instructions

To be considered for funding under the Rational Games Small Grant program, proposed projects must meet the following requirements:

  1. Organizations must submit a proposal and budget in the provided format before the due date.
  2. Organizations submitting project proposals must demonstrate a commitment to utilizing games and play for conflict resolution, negotiation or mediation in their programming.
  3. Organizations submitting project proposals must sign the included anti-terror certification.

 

All project proposals must complete the items below.  Incomplete proposals will not be considered.  Complete proposals should not exceed seven (7) pages total (excluding budget and anti terror certification). 

 

A complete proposal includes:

  1. Project Proposal  
  2. Project Budget
  3. Signed anti terror certification by authorized representative of the applicant
  4. DO NOT SUBMIT THE REPORT TEMPLATE NOW

 

All project proposals must be in English.

 

Proposals must be submitted by August 29, 2013.

 

Each grant application must fall within the grant ceiling of $20,000. 

 

Rational Games has not set a maximum number of grants to be issued.  Grant awards will be distributed by December 2013.  All projects will be required to submit a final project report within thirty (30) days of project completion.  Rational Games reserves the right to evaluate proposals and make adjustments as necessary.
