Internship in the South Caucasus Regional Office of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung

The South Caucasus Regional Office of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung based in Tbilisi, Georgia regularly awards internships. The duration of an internship is two to three months; this period may be extended in exceptional cases. We do not have internship placements during the summer period

An internship at the FES South Caucasus Regional Office in Tbilisi is possible during the following periods:

  • January 15 to April 15 (App. deadline: 15 October of the previous year)
  • April 15 to July 15 (App. deadline: 15 January)
  • September 15 to December 15 (App. deadline: 15 June)



  • A student, preferably in the humanities or social sciences (advanced studies)
  • Language skills: English and German; Georgian or Russian is an asset
  • Interest in socio-political developments
  • Community involvement and/or social/political activism
  • Sound PC skills (MS Office)
  • Team spirit, commitment, and flexibility


Task fields

  • Participation in daily necessary office work and organization
  • Preparing seminars, conferences and visitors’ programs
  • Attendance of events by FES and other international and local organizations
  • Accompaniment of foreign delegations
  • Independent elaboration of texts
  • Support in the management of the website
  • Internet research 



  • FES is offering an expense allowance of 450 Euro/month
  • Expenditure for flights, accommodation and travel insurance have to be covered by the intern and are not covered by FES
