We are seeking a volunteer to join Crisis Group's Europe and Central Asia Program for a period of six months. This remote internship would suit students and recent graduates of journalism, political science, conflict studies or public administration programs. Students with an interest in the conflicts in the South Caucasus region (Nagorno-Karabakh, Abkhazia and South Ossetia) are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include:

• Monthly monitoring of political developments in the South Caucasus;

• Support with collecting and verifying data for the Visual Explainer of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict;

• Desk literature reviews on security issues;

• Help with note taking for meetings;

• Meetings (online) with program staff;

• Support with basic program administration.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelors degree in journalism, political science, conflict studies or similar;

• Proven research and writing skills;

• Proficiency in Russian and/or any of the other regional languages is a strong asset;

• Ability to work independently.
