An international development program that contributes to strengthening citizen engagement in socio-economic development at the regional level in Azerbaijan is seeking a candidate for Program Assistant’s position in its Baku office.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Manage all aspects of correspondence and documentation regarding the program activities, such as:  maintain a file of all project reports, draft routine non-technical letters, ensure outgoing correspondence is properly formatted and checked for typographical errors, spelling, and grammar;

  • Translate official correspondence and other documents related to program activities;

  • Collect, verify, and file Site Inspection Report for projects;

  • As instructed by Chief of Party participate in the Project Evaluation Committee meetings;

  • Coordinate the preparation, compiling, and filing of Project Technical Descriptions for Community-driver Socio Economic Projects;

  • Assist the Monitoring and Evaluation and Public Outreach Specialist in collecting indicator data and other information required for the project evaluation and other reporting functions;

  • Conduct basic data analysis and develop spreadsheets, databases, graphics, charts and other information related to program activities;

  • Regularly update program Quarterly Implementation Plan and a calendar of critical program milestones, deadlines and events for Baku and regional offices;

  • Assist in the preparation of internal and external reports and other documents as requested;

  • Assist with the planning and carrying out various events, meetings, receptions, and site visits;

 

Required qualifications

  • Three years of professional work experience on regional socio-economic development programs;

  • University degree in a relevant discipline such as: Economics, Finance, Public and Business Administration;

  • Good understanding of community development initiatives in Azerbaijan;

  • Impeccable professional and personal integrity;

  • Strong organizational skills;

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

  • Fluency in written and oral Azerbaijani, working knowledge of English language is highly preferred.
