Vacancy for Head of Learning and Capability Development in Baku, Azerbaijan


“Head of Learning and Capability Development” will:

  • Lead a team of Learning and Training practitioners,
  • Articulate SOCAR-AQS technical and leadership learning strategy and develop a roadmap for execution
  • Deliver Technical and Leadership Academy (aka Drilling School) scope proposal
  • Develop a digital and printed inventory of current learning offer (including all compliance-driven training) and a menu of learning interventions for employees to pick from for developing most “in-demand” skills

Qualifications / Experience / Competencies:

  • Graduate or Post-Graduate Degree in a relevant field of study and HR functional accreditation (e.g. CIPD, Reward Qualification, etc.) MBA advantageous but not mandatory
  • Proven track record of prior team leadership and at least 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Language skills:
    • Azeri (fluent);
    • English (Advanced);
  • Software skills: MS Office
