HECOTEC Industrial Development Company is looking for a Local professional for the position of GIS Specialist for its upcoming project in Azerbaijan.
 


About the role:
 
HECOTEC Industrial Development Company is seeking a qualified and experienced GIS Specialist to join our CIS team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·      Conduct spatial analysis using Esri Software
·      Analyze data and effectively articulate findings in reports and permit applications.
·      Keep track of and manage project-specific spatial data.
·      Ensure that appropriate coordinate systems and transformations are used and recorded
·      Ensure that Interoperability of data across GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, Google Earth, and other formats is supported.
·      Analyze spatial database information
·      Create interactive cartographic products including feature service layers and maps
·      Support field data collection and navigation
·      Collect field data from surveyors and turnaround team
·      Develop and maintain GIS database

Knowledge & Qualifications:

·      Bachelor's degree in geographic information systems, cartography, computer science, or a related field
·      Practical GIS experience in processing, analyzing and visualization of spatial data ideally within the utility/energy sector
·      Expert and applied knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS software for spatial data capture, management, and analysis

Experience:

·      +7 years experience in international EPC oil and gas
·      Experience using ESRI ArcGIS software products
·      Experience in database creation, maintenance, and integration

Skills and Abilities:

·      Good written, verbal communication, and presentation skills in Azerbaijani, Russian and English languages;
·      Good analytical skills;
·      Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities, as well as self-motivation and guidance, are required, with a strong preference for timely performance and problem resolution.
