The Department of Economics, Management and Statistics (DEMS) of the University of Milano-Bicocca invites applications to its PhD Programme in Economics, Statistics and Data Science (ECOSTATDATA) for the academic year 2022-23 (XXXVIII cycle).

The PhD Programme is articulated in three curricula, Economics (ECO), Statistics (STAT) and Big Data & Analytics for Business (BIDAB). The length of the PhD Programme is four years, starting in late October 2022.

We offer one scholarship (for a period of four years), in collaboration with Eni Corporate University and Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei, to the highest ranked applicants, on the following project:

Curriculum: Economics (ECO)

Title: Integrated Models for a Roadmap of National Decarbonization

Description: This project aims to: i) investigate alternative scenarios of energy demand and supply, with particular reference to the Italian electricity and gas sectors; ii) elaborate new and/or extend existing technological micro-models to describe in detail the Italian power sector; iii) connect the micro-technological model(s) with macro-models of the Italian economy; iv) produce alternative scenarios/paths/trajectories of energy transition toward a zero-emission/zero-carbon economy.

The selection procedure is regulated by the official Call for Applications (Bando di Concorso), which will be published in the Doctoral School’s and in the PhD programme websites on July 15, 2022.
