GIRLWITHABOOK campaign

The terrorists showed what frightens them most: a girl with a book.”, said Ban Ki Moon, the Secretary General of the United Nations after the Taliban shot in the head Malala Yousafzai -  16-year old Pakistani activist, who has been fighting for the access to education. These words have become inspiration for the international movement GIRLWITHABOOK.

Stand in solidarity with Malala Yousafzai and girls around the world fighting for their education.

“Dziewczynka z książką” is a Polish edition of #GIRLWITHABOOK international campaign. Our goal is to collect pictures from Malala’s and global education’s supporters from the entire world, speak up about everyone’s right to education, publish a photoalbum out of collected pictures along with girls’ stories from all over the world. Income from the album sales will be used to purchase books for schools in Pakistan.

According to UN reports, there are now 57 million kids out of school - we can help fighting illiteracy and give these kids a better future!

Send us a picture of yourself with a book and with a sign “I stand with Malala”. A cause like this needs support from EVERYONE. Email your picture to: dziewczynkazksiazka@gmail.com.

Do you want to share your story about education, women's rights, human right? Would you like to tell the world how the situation looks like in your area? Do you know someone whose voice should be heard globally? Send us you letter/story to:dziewczynkazksiazka@gmail.com. We will publish it on our blog as well as in our album.
