(Associated) Professorship in Business Communication

 

The Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences of the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) invites applications for an associated professorship in Business Communication starting 01.09.2019. This professorship is located in the Department of Communication and Media Research DCM.

Candidates should have a doctoral degree in communication studies or a related discipline, a high-quality publication record in the research field of business communication in relevant international and peer-reviewed journals, as well as relevant teaching experience. Experience in acquiring third party funds is desirable.

The teaching load is 6 to 7 hours per week and includes courses in the bilingual French/English Master program “Business Communication” and the French-language Bachelor program “Sciences de la communication et des médias” (to be started in 2022).

Candidates should have high command of both French and English. Administrative languages at the University of Fribourg are German and French. Thus, a passive knowledge of German is expected in the medium term. The salary is competitive. The University of Fribourg provides equal opportunities for women and men and aims at achieving gender balance.
