Apply for a chance to participate in the 2021 Scholarship for Peace and Security training programme on “Conflict Prevention and Resolution through Arms Control, Disarmament and Non-Proliferation in the OSCE Area”.
2021 is the fourth edition of the training programme. The programme contributes to creating equal opportunities for young professionals, in particular women’s, participation in policymaking, planning and implementation processes related to peace and security. The 2021 training programme will be held in English and provide a general orientation and knowledge about conflict prevention and resolution through arms control, disarmament and non-proliferation, with a specific focus on United Nations and OSCE-related instruments.
The training programme consists of two components: an 8-week, inquiry-based online course starting on 24 May 2021 and a 1-week, in-person course, which is envisaged to be held in Vienna, Austria in the second half of 2021, subject to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions
The 2021 Scholarship for Peace and Security is for young professionals from OSCE participating States and Partners for Co-operation. A total of 150 participants will be selected for the online training course. Among these participants, 50 successful and motivated women participants will also be selected and offered the in-person training course.
