The Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) is happy to announce that the applications for the KAS Democracy Lab Program are now open!

The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) the South Caucasus office, in cooperation with the German Civic Institute for International Education initiated KAS DEMOCRACY LAB Program in 2017. Within the scopes of the KAS Democracy Lab Program Seminar Series on European Union which is held for the Youth and Students (18-26 years old) from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine with the Germany based organization Civic Institute for International Education- CIVIC. Every year KAS selects participants for a new cohort of Democracy Lab.

The topic of the seminar is: EU Accession Negotiations- how to advance from EU candidacy to the EU membership.

The seminar will take place from August 30 to September 1, 2022 in Tbilisi, Georgia. Travel dates 29 August- 2 September, 2022.

After completion of the Democracy Lab Seminar all students are eligible to participate in the closed essay-competition. Based on the Essays and based on the active participation in the democracy Lab seminar up to 6 students will be selected to participate in the study tour in the EU Institutions in Brussels to be held in June 2023.

The Democracy Lab Seminars are based on the simulation game method. Interactive methods, such as role-playing and role games or participatory conference simulations allow the students of the democracy lab seminars a deeper understanding of politics and social processes from the inner standpoint of the actors involved.
