We asked our recent graduates to share some insight into their jobs and experts from different

universities to speak about the internship program at the EU Institutions.

On behalf of the Institute for Strategic Analysis (STRATI), the Baku-based independent analytical center, the hub of organisations Regional Research Public Union (RRPU) we are pleased to invite you to participate in a round table discussion on the Internship at the EU Institutions program being held on Monday, 4 February at 10:00 (registration starts at 09.30).

This discussion will be hosted and chaired by Fuad Mukhtarov, Senior Research Fellow at STRATI and former Senior Monitoring Journalist at BBC Monitoring Caucasus Bureau. Please send your participation request by replying to: and we will send you confirmation e-mail with more details.



Since 2013, Azerbaijani students and young professionals have had opportunity to do internship at the EU institutions, as well as other non- governmental organisations based in the EU. The Youth Foundation of Azerbaijan supported the first Study Trip of Azerbaijani young people, to Brussels in March 2015. The Youth Foundation of Azerbaijan also supported the Internship Program in December 2018 with the aim of contributing to the development of human capital in Azerbaijan, and providing Azerbaijani interns with practical expertise on functioning of the EU in general and the European Parliament in particular.


Furthermore, alumnus of the program eager to further contribute to the process of European integration of Azerbaijan by using the synergy of network of young Azerbaijani professionals and our contacts to key movers and shakers in Brussels. In our multi-polar world young people are not only in need of good education and a multi-faceted work experience, but also of relevant networking capabilities. We believe that only through interaction and cooperation with their peers abroad can young professionals achieve their true potential, as well as be successful in shaping the world based on common values, mutual respect and understanding.


With this in mind, we bring together young professionals and past beneficiaries of the program together with key experts from EU and Caucasus region to disscuss the future of the program and career opportunities of Azerbaijani Young Professionals in Europe.

Applicants can send their CVs to until February 2, 2019. The selected participants should bring their ID cards to the venue of the roundtable discussion – Baku Convention Centre, which is located right beside the Heydar Aliyev Center.
