Cesmi website editor

The "Central Asian Scholars and Media Initiative" (CESMI) is a public society that fosters contacts and communication between scholars and journalists. We hope to contribute to a better informed and more constructive public discussion of issues facing Central Eurasian societies. In this context, the maintenance and development of CESMI's website (www.cesmi.info) is crucial.

The CESMI board is currently looking for a volunteer web editor (two hours a week) and accepts applications from motivated individuals. Currently including activists from Kyrgyzstan to Canada, CESMI offers a vibrant and inspiring work environment and the opportunity to meet and interact with scholars and media professionals from all over the world. The workload will fluctuate, averaging 2 hours a week. Unfortunately we cannot currently offer a salary, though this may change.

Desirable competencies:

- Familiarity with web server architecture
- proficiency in a web development application such as wordpress,
DotNetNuke etc.
- Previous use of CSS in website development would be helpful
- Sense of overall visual style and flow of webpages
